Overview

Mythasci was built to solve a growing challenge:
creating a fully integrated streaming platform that supports both premium subscribers and independent creators. The platform combines subscription-based streaming similar to Netflix, creator uploads and monetization like YouTube, and an enterprise-grade video delivery infrastructure powered by AWS. The goal was to create a high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly streaming experience that works seamlessly across both web and mobile devices.

The Challenge

Building Mythasci required solving multiple complex challenges, from handling large-scale video uploads and processing to delivering adaptive streaming with minimal latency. The platform also needed to manage real-time subscriptions and payments while supporting creators with analytics and revenue tracking. Ensuring seamless playback across devices and designing a backend capable of scaling with future growth added further complexity. Ultimately, the biggest challenge was bringing together content delivery, monetization, and user experience into a single, unified system.

The Solution

We developed a cloud-native streaming architecture powered by AWS and modern web technologies to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability. The platform leverages AWS S3 for secure media storage, MediaConvert for adaptive video transcoding, and CloudFront CDN for global content delivery. Stripe was integrated for seamless subscription management, while custom backend APIs were built to handle authentication, analytics, and platform workflows. This approach enabled fast and reliable video playback, a scalable infrastructure to support growing user demand, and secure, flexible payment handling.

The platform ensures smooth and high-quality viewing through adaptive bitrate streaming (240p–1080p), cross-device playback sync, subtitle support (SRT/VTT), and low-latency delivery via a global CDN.

Subscriptions & Payments

Mythasci provides a flexible and secure payment experience with monthly and yearly plans, Stripe-powered checkout, real-time subscription validation, and complete billing history with invoices.

Creator Ecosystem

Creators are empowered with a complete workflow, including registration and approval, video uploads with a processing pipeline, content moderation, and tools for revenue tracking and payout management.

Admin Control

A robust admin system enables full platform control, offering content management capabilities, user and subscription management, creator moderation tools, and a comprehensive analytics dashboard.

The platform was built with scalability and performance at its core, leveraging a modern tech stack that includes a web application and React Native mobile apps on the frontend, supported by an API-driven backend with secure authentication. Media and assets are stored on AWS S3, while AWS MediaConvert handles video transcoding and CloudFront CDN ensures fast global content delivery. Stripe integration powers subscriptions and billing, enabling seamless payment management. This architecture allows Mythasci to efficiently handle high traffic, large media files, and real-time user interactions at scale.
